In 2021, I collaborated with Shun, a DJ, and Sumo, a graphic designer, to form a temporary music group called 33WLC. Off Work Everyday is one of Shun’s Citypop music series, where each digital album cover was illustrated by me. The purpose of this project was to provide relaxation and cheer to those who felt frustrated, anxious, or helpless during the pandemic.

This series comprises eight digital albums - representing the seven days of the week plus one bonus day. The illustration concept revolves around the fusion of two parallel universes. The background visuals depict real landscapes in Japan, while the panels unveil related fleeting moments. Subtle elements are strategically placed to bridge these two visuals. Drawing scenes from my past visits to Japan evokes a sense of nostalgia. Ultimately, my aim with this series is to offer enjoyment through art and music.
