A collaboration with one local NGO 渔智 focusing on fishery and related protection.

My thesis is a global-warming-related children's book. In order to develop my theme, I tried to collaborate with one community focusing on environmental protection. China Blue Sustainability Institution is NGO with a vision that China’s rivers, lakes, and oceans stay ecologically healthy to sustain fisheries communities in harmony and resilience. With a creative, effective, and collaborative team of multi-talents, we mobilize various stakeholders to jointly leverage resources to improve industry-wide informatization and organization, thus catalyzing Chinese fishery and aquaculture’s transformation and upgrading towards sustainability, while fostering industry-leading talents with an international vision. Thus, we have values in common. I initiated this project first. The objectives of this project are

- To share the message that each of us can take action to involve in environmental protection with community members

- To help the community communicate the urgency and necessity of eliminating negative environmental and social impacts brought by

overfishing and poor aquaculture practices in an illustrated, storytelling way

- To connect/recruit more target audience

I chose one of the topics the community focuses on to educate people to protect Sousa Chinesis (Chinese White Dolphin) and other rare marine wildlife. Based on this point, this community project aims at introducing these animals for an educational purpose in a creative way. In order to catch both children’s and young people’s attention, we will design a set of playful and knowledgeable cards, similar to Pokemon cards.
