ABOUT COFFEE BEANSPRESSO 豆浆
A low-key cafe hidden in the alley
The first time I walked into this cafe, I felt that it was a bit different. Located in an alley, it's a street corner that you can easily overlook when passing by on the main road, peaceful amid the hustle and bustle, yet it opens up into a hidden paradise when you step inside.
I really like the overall decor - the clean white walls, simple furnishings, green plants, wooden floors, vinyl records, and the aroma of coffee. All of these elements combined together represent the kind of cozy home life I've always longed for. The owner, Yezi, is also an outdoorsy and cheerful girl. When two straightforward people like us come together, it sparks the idea for this exhibition. It actually took a few months from start to finish, but I have a super sense of achievement when it finally came to fruition in early September.
This exhibition basically continues the concept from the previous one at The Corner in Shanghai. When you enter, there's a sticker wall where everyone can choose their "not working today" mood. Then you'll see introductions of the artists and projects. Once inside the coffee shop, you'll be able to see my series and non-series music album cover illustrations.
