The Shanghai’s City of Books carries the cultural memory of the city, showcasing a beautiful life. In order to preserve this unique presence, the book city will undergo internal functional upgrades as well as transformations to its exterior facade. In December 2021, the Shanghai Book City Fuzhou Road Store announced its renovation. Now, after nearly two years of being away, this 'new city' constructed with books is about to make a comeback with a completely new appearance.
